What this site collects, what runs in the background and how to get your information removed.

This page says exactly what this site collects, what runs in the background and how to get your information removed. Plain language, no legal fog. Last updated 26 July 2026.

Who runs this site

The License Reinstatement Library is an independent reference project, published by the team behind The License Comeback Kit, the paid companion product linked from these pages. We are not a state agency, a court, a DMV or a law firm. Anything on this page you want explained, ask us at support@licensereinstatementlibrary.org.

What we collect

The only thing you hand us is what you type into an opt-in form. That is your email address. The page also sends the state it covers, filled in for you as a hidden field so one form can serve every state. We never ask for your name, your phone number, your address, your case number, your license number or anything about your charge. There is no account to make and nothing here asks you to identify yourself.

Your submission goes to the form storage on the site's host and to our customer record system, tagged with your state. We use it to send the free checklist you asked for, to email you when a reinstatement rule changes in your state and to send our newsletter, which sometimes carries an offer for one of our own products.

The timeline calculator

The calculator works out your answer inside your own browser. Nothing you select is sent anywhere while you use it. If you then use the email-me-my-results form on that page, your email address comes to us along with the selections you made, so the summary we send back matches what you picked. That is the only way a tool answer leaves your screen.

Analytics and cookies

Two measurement tools run on every page of this site.

  • Google Analytics 4. Counts traffic. It tells us how many people reached a page, which state pages get read and roughly where visitors arrived from, all in aggregate.
  • Microsoft Clarity. Records session playbacks and heatmaps: where a page was scrolled, where a click landed, where a layout confused someone. We use it to find pages that read badly so we can fix them.

Both set cookies or similar browser storage on your device so a returning visit is not counted as a new person. Be clear on what the second one means here, because the subject of this site is nobody's business but yours: your movement through these pages can be played back later as a recording. Neither tool gets your email address from us. Neither is used to build an advertising profile of you.

Switching them off is your call and nothing on this site breaks if you do. Block cookies for this site in your browser settings or read the site in your browser's private mode. Google also publishes an Analytics opt-out add-on that turns Analytics off across every site you visit. The providers' own terms: Google privacy policy and Microsoft privacy statement.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it or hand it to a data broker. We never pass anything to an insurer, an employer, an attorney referral service or a court. There is no Facebook pixel, no TikTok pixel and no ad-network tracker anywhere on this site. The only outside companies that touch your email are the service providers we use to store the list and send the mail. They act on our instructions only.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off the list. You can also just reply and ask.

Seeing or deleting what we hold

Email support@licensereinstatementlibrary.org and ask for a copy of what we hold on you, a correction or a full deletion. We honor the request whatever state or country you write from. We will not ask you to prove you qualify under a particular law first. A deletion takes you off the email list and out of the form storage.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Traffic and session data expire on Google's and Microsoft's own retention schedules, set out in the policies linked above.

If this changes

If we add or drop anything that touches your data, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. That date is the honest record of when this was last true.

The order pages

This page covers this site: the free pages, the free downloads and the newsletter. The order pages for The License Comeback Kit sit on a separate host at get.licensereinstatementlibrary.org with their own policy, published there. If you buy, read that one too.
